Broomfield, CO.—(Oct. 4, 2012) Partnering with Samsung and Electronic Recyclers International (ERI), the City and County of Broomfield will stage a special E-Waste Collection Event this Saturday from 8 am to 12 noon at no charge to consumers.
ERI, the largest recycler of electronic waste in the nation, will safely recycle all e-waste collected at this special event at the Norman Smith Service Center serving the residents of the County and City of Broomfield.
The event is designed to give the community at large an opportunity to safely unload their old computers, television sets, and other out-dated, unusable or unwanted consumer electronic items for proper recycling that is safe and environmentally sound. Samsung is working with ERI to sponsor the e-waste takeback event and encourage participating residents to sign up for the ENERGY STAR Pledge.
“With their collaborative support and proactive actions in Broomfield – and across the U.S.,” said Shirley Garcia, Environmental Services Coordinator for the City and County of Broomfield, “Samsung continues to recognize the significance of being a formative leader in the electronic profession by being responsible recyclers of electronic waste and stewards of the environment.”
