1800Recycling.com, an interactive website dedicated to enhancing and democratizing the consumer recycling experience while making practical suggestions about green living, has announced its roster of regional “Recycling Profiles” for the first quarter of 2015. The new additions will expand upon the site’s series of blog articles about the unique recycling options and programs in various metropolitan areas throughout the US and Canada.
As with all of 1800Recycling’s regional “Recycling Profiles,” the new blog entries will outline what materials are recycled by each city and how each system works. Scheduled to be added within the first three months of 2015 are: Phoenix (AZ), Albany (NY), Lethbridge (Canada), Oxford (MS), Redmond (WA), Parkersburg (WV), Arlington (TX), Bakersfield (CA), Peterson (NJ), Greensboro (NC), Gainesville (FL), Hamilton (Canada) and Fort Collins (CO).
Each of those regions’ unique recycling programs for its residents can be found at 1800recycling.com/category/local-focus.
Other cities profiled for the series include Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, Indianapolis, Nashville, New Orleans, Orlando, San Antonio and Vancouver — and many others.
The articles, all archived at 1800Recycling’s blog, provide helpful links to more information for local residents and interesting descriptions of how each city does its recycling.
“The policies, practices and laws pertaining to recycling vary substantially from city to city,” said John Shegerian, Chairman and CEO of Electronic Recyclers International (ERI), the nation’s leading recycler of electronics and e-waste, and parent company of 1800Recycling.com. “At 1800Recycling, we have made it our mission to simplify the process of recycling. Part of that includes explaining how recycling programs are run and what, exactly, is available in the various cities, states and provinces around North America.”
1800Recycling.com also features an archive of original news articles about green practices for businesses or individuals, recycling, tips, educational information and interviews. Content is updated daily, and for those reading the articles who become inspired, 1800Recycling.com also provides its visitors everywhere in the United States with an innovative system for finding recycling locations nearest to them (every ZIP code in the country is covered) for whatever it is they wish to recycle.
Consumers can also opt to call 1800Recycling via telephone for a 24/7 phone line resource or download the interactive app (1800recycling.com/mobile) available via the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. The app, the newly enhanced site and phone service each can direct users to responsible recyclers of electronics, tires, oil, paint, glass, plastic, household hazardous waste, wood, mattresses, carpet, junk – basically everything that can be recycled.
