November 4, 2014
Various types of rechargeable batteries can be recycled into new batteries or other products at the end of their useful life.
Since 2005, Linda Gabor has provided strategic marketing direction and focus for Call2Recycle, developing the brand nationally and internationally. Under her guidance, the product stewardship organization has become synonymous with effective battery recycling through increased accessibility and education.
As Vice President, Marketing and Customer Service of Call2Recycle, Gabor has effectively managed, measured and enhanced the Call2Recycle brand through myriad strategies, from cooperative educational campaigns to special takeback events. Effective and consistent integration of messaging and strategy coupled with a best-in-class team has resulted in 90% customer service satisfaction.
In addition to leading the marketing and customer service departments, Gabor has worked to advance the education and outreach initiatives of Call2Recycle. Her work in this arena helps ensure that all stakeholders — from the manufacturers of batteries and products to the municipalities and retailers serving as collection sites to the consumers who return the batteries for recycling — understand how, where and why battery recycling is done.
