Positive Effects LLC is committed to making a difference, even in the smallest of ways. Our organization is all about a community working together for the greater good of all. We hear from people all the time: “If I could do something to help, I would. I just don’t know what to do.” We have solved that problem! What we recycle is food scraps, turning them into nutrient-rich compost used to grow organic produce. Our main goal is to get community members to understand that by recycling their food scraps, we reduce the size of the landfills that are overflowing, we lower our carbon footprint and we reduce greenhouse gases. We are helping to provide a cleaner, greener community for future generations while also providing a way in which to teach the importance of recycling at home to youngsters. Good habits are easier learned when they begin at home and are repeated on a regular basis. The only thing stinking up the landfills is rotting food. Why not take that old waste and turn it into good, nutrient-rich soil and grow organic produce to feed the needy? That is what Positive Effects LLC does. We are committed to giving back to the local communities that we serve. The organic produce that is grown with our soil is given away at no cost, by way of supplying food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters and the needy amongst us. We do all this at no cost for the people that need it so very much in these tough economic times. The fact is, people need to eat, and when they don’t you would be amazed at how much time they spend thinking about food. We can take that hunger, feed them and turn their former hunger into a passion for helping others that are going through the same exact thing. One of the ways Positive Effects LLC is helping to boost the local economy is by only hiring people that are unemployed or underemployed. Why is it that some people have to choose between food and medication? More people are underemployed than they are unemployed, and yet the rate of unemployment in our home state of Massachusetts has gone through the roof in recent times. By helping Positive Effects LLC, you will be assisting us in our efforts to get individuals back on track, by becoming more financially stable and increasing their confidence and self-esteem. We are tired of seeing our neighbors lose their homes because their bosses went out of business or made bad business decisions and had to downsize. But we can make a difference. We can help those in need, giving them a helping hand, inspiring them and leading them on to become the productive citizens we know they truly want to be. And even though times are tough, we also realize how fortunate we are in the U.S., so we look beyond our borders to help others who are less fortunate. Currently, we partake in an outreach in Haiti to help fund the building of homes and the digging of wells for clean drinking water. We also are committed to providing food, clothing, shoes and much-needed medical supplies to those in need there. Remember, we live in the world that we create.
